How I got to Venice
Took a flight and landed at Marco Polo International Airport
Hotel (Great)
Hotel Style in a small town called Mogliano Veneto at 52 Euros a night for a double bedroom with Breakfast. A great place to stay for the price.
- Excellent place to stay and great value for money!
- Railway station at 1 minute walk
- Train to Venice takes 15-20 minutes
- Train every 15 minutes to Venice
- Last train back from Venice at 23:56
- Only drawback was that Internet cost me 5 Euros for 1 hour or 15 Euros for 5 hours or 25 Euros for 10 hours. The speeds were not that good.
Getting to the Hotel (Easy)

I took a bus from Marco Polo International Airport to the big town of Mestre. The bus tickets are sold at a counter just before the exit from the Airport. Just follow the signs. The bus took me to Mestre. I needed to push a red button just before my stop to let the driver know that someone wanted to get down. However, I didn't know where my stop was. Hence, I asked someone next to me in broken Italian to notify me when Mestre train station comes. I got down at Mestre, the bus stop was right next to the railway station. Then, I took a train from Mestre to Mogliano Veneto.
Getting to Venice from the Hotel and back (Very convenient)
Mogliano Veneto finds itself on a busy regional train route implying that almost every 15 minutes there is a train to Venice and back. It takes about 15-20 minutes to get to Venice from there. The last train back from Venice to Mogliano is at 23:56.
